Ontario Convention Center

February 5th and 6th

The first convention of the year is less than a week away. There’s a lot about this one that I’m excited for. I’ve never dressed up, so I am extremely excited to join in on the fun. Seems like this one has a lot of top notch guests and events. I will partaking in the horror speed dating because why not?! There is a vintage gaming event as well that will take me to my childhood and TONS of vendors that I’m thrilled to see. I will definitely be taking photos!

Monsterpalooza

Pasadena Convention Center

June 3rd-5th

Monsterpalooza is always a solid event. So many artists and demos happening at this one. It’s been a few years since I’ve attended this one. I’m glad it’s at the Pasadena Convention Center this year because sometimes the Burbank Marriott can be a nightmare to get in and out of.

Haunt X Expo

Pomona Fairplex

June 11th-12th

I don’t have any personal experience with this one but it’s definitely worth a mention since it’s local. There’s no updated information on the website so if you have attended this one before, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Midsummer Scream

Long Beach Convention Center

July 29th-31st

This was cancelled last year so I’m excited for it to be making its return. The last Midsummer Scream I attended the haunts were on point and the atmosphere was incredible. One thing that really caught my attention though was the area where you could get BLS/CPR certified. I hope they decide to bring that back.

Season’s Screamings

Pasadena Convention Center

December 2nd-4th

Season’s Screamings is a blast. They have vendors galore, cosplayers, spooky carolers, scary xmas haunts, KRAMPUS and so much more.

Stranger Con

Los Angeles Convention Center

December 17th-18th(originally January 8-9 but was postponed.)

I don’t know much about this convention but from what I gathered, this is a convention to celebrate and appreciate the Netflix series Stranger Things. It seems like a big draw to this is that the stars are scheduled to appear however it says, “pending confirmation”. If you’re a big fan and your favorite star is currently pending, then this might be the con for you.

Son of Monsterpalooza

This is the location for the past Son’s but date and location are both TBD currently.

Son of Monsterpalooza was cancelled last October with plans to have one this year but at the moment it’s crickets. I’m hoping it’ll be back this fall though.

I feel the same way I did the last time I made a list like this, we need more horror conventions throughout the year here in SoCal!
